Driving in the mountains
Apparently not even the Mallorcans do that - wonderful roads for cycling, biking. But not if you hate turns and twists. The first pictures are from the road to Formentera (the goats were more interesting than the light house).

The North - Valdemossa and Fornalutz
North - Cloister of Lluc
This was really wonderful. Hidden in a little mountain valley between Soller and Pollenca is this impressive cloister. It has a beautiful botanical garden and acts as the most reasonably inn as well. We stayed here over night, dreaming of monks, midnight masses and ghosts.

Swimming in the sea
A little cold - but well, it was cold. We stayed mostly at beaches in Alcudia and Pollenca

Palma
For some reason we did not expect much. A huge touristic dump perhaps but this does not do this city any justics. The old town is gorgeous, the Spanish architecture very impressive; cafes everywhere. Great!

East - Alcudia
We found a little inn right at the harbour with a nice terrace overlooking the sea and restaurents. Dinner was right downstairs, the beack 100m away. Perfect. And the old town of Alcudia is cute! A place you must stop over is this super-cool designer bar cum restaurant at the square. If Cafe del Mar weren't invented yet it should be right here. Original design, cool music, great food - heaven!
